    07Mar2010 Wine Class Featuring Sardinia
Sardinia's unique island location has made it a jumping off point for many civilizations throughout history including the Romans, Greeks, Byzantines, Arabs, Normans, and Spanish Aragonese. Many culinary traditions of these civilizations have been preserved due to the remoteness of the island, making Sardinia one of the most interesting regions of Italy to explore. Join us all month at OTTO as we feature some of the classic dishes of Sardinia including Pane Fratau (pizza with tomatoe, pecorino, and egg) and bottarga (cured fish cavier).

On Saturday, March 20, we'll focus our attention to the wines of Sardinia. Our weekly Saturday wine class will incorporate the grape varieties that are cultivated on the island, and discuss how each wine correlates to the soil, cuisine, and culture of Sardinia. ($45 + tax)
